AstraZeneca today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Teva, a generic drugmaker, to sell its Augmentin, a brand-name antibiotic that treats infections caused by certain bacteria and viruses.
The agreement with Teva is the second such agreement to be finalized in the last twelve months, following the announcement of the resolution of patent litigation related to the cholesterol drug Merck & Co.'s patent on Nexium (aluminum hydroxide) that was settled in 2010 with the U.
